Ulta “Envy”
My first guest nails. Meet my momma! Since I have been into nail polish so much the last few months she has been getting into it to. And I don’t mind helping her one bit! On my recent Ulta trip I picked her up a few polishes as well. The first she tried was Envy. This is a beautiful dark green shimmer. Formula was great. Most of the Ulta polishes that I have tried are nearly opaque in one coat. Only needed a second to cover a few bald spots. Mom did a great job with clean up, a lot better then I have been doing lately. All on her own Mom added a coat of Wet N’ Wild Kaleidoscope, a silver glitter with a few flashes of red, yellow, blue, and green. Looked great with a top coat.

China Glaze “It’s Alive” and my very first nail mail!!!!
I was stupid excited to get my very first nail mail on Friday! The previous week I had ordered the China Glaze Haunting Collection from Sally Beauty Supply. It was the last day of September and I had to use my 15% and $5 off coupons that day. Basically it made it free shipping. I was surprised when it showed up with an orange color instead of the top coat. I wasn’t expecting it but I am always excited to have a new color. In order China Glaze Cross Iron 360, It’s Alive, Black Mesh crackle polish, and Ghoulish Glow.
I had to try It’s Alive first thing. It is a beautiful green glitter, both micro and hex. It is completely full of glitter too which made the formula a little thick and hard to apply. It was also a top coat monster. Two coats of Seche Vite, the one coat of Ghoulish Glow, and then another of top coat before it was smooth. The color made it worth all the layers. So, so pretty and glittery. But the glow in the dark polish did muddy the color. In the pictures you can see the difference between them. My pointer fingers are both without Ghoulish Glow. This polish lasted for all of 24 hours before it started to pop off in full sheets. I think next time I wear it I will layer one coat of a solid color before putting on a coat of It’s Alive.

Wet N' Wild "Gray's Anatomy"
Gray’s Anatomy is a beautiful grayish silver duo chrome. In some lights it flashes purple and in others it’s green. This one is from their Fast Dry line which typically has a great formula. This one however was a little on the thin side. It took 3 coats to really cover and probably could have used a fourth. But on the bright side it did wear very well. I had it on for 5 days and had very minimal tip wear. I only really took it off because I was bored. I think some of the longevity of the polish had to do with my top and base coats. I use Seche Vite top coat and Nail Life Gripper base coat. Both help to make everything stay longer in my opinion.
For the pictures I could not get any with the polish looking silver or green. I tried multiple settings on my camera and several different types of light. I even held my nails against my green dress to try and find that hue but it didn’t work.
